Creative Users Projects

Creative Users Projects is a disability-led national art service organization. We connect people to experiences in the arts that change the narrative of disability, and we build a culture where difference belongs.  We realize this through our mission to make disability and difference visible and vital in a world that’s transforming to digital.

Tangled Art + Disability

Tangled Art + Disability is a not-for-profit art + disability organization dedicated to connecting professional and emerging artists, the arts community and a diverse public through creative passion and artistic excellence. Our mandate is to support Deaf, Mad and disability-identified artists, to cultivate Deaf, Mad and disability arts in Canada, and to enhance access to the arts for artists and audiences of all abilities.

Cultural Toronto Hotspot

The City of Toronto’s Cultural Hotspot initiative shines a spotlight on arts, culture and community in Toronto’s diverse neighbourhoods by celebrating, connecting and investing in neighbourhoods outside the city’s downtown. The City of Toronto’s Arts and Culture Services collaborates with arts organizations, partnering to develop dynamic transformative projects that provide new opportunities to engage the community and highlight the vibrancy within.

Bodies in Translation: Activist Art, Technology and Access to Life

Bodies in Translation: Activist Art, Technology, and Access to Life is a research project that creates collaborative partnerships between artists, arts organizations, activists, scholars, and educators. We cultivate activist art produced by disabled, d/Deaf, fat, Mad, and E/elder people with the goal of expanding understandings of vitality and advancing social justice.

This project would not have been possible without the additional support from the Ontario Arts Council and the Canada Council for the Arts Digital Originals initiative.
