Tangled Art + Disability
Tangled Art + Disability is a not-for-profit art + disability organization dedicated to connecting professional and emerging artists, the arts community and a diverse public through creative passion and artistic excellence. Our mandate is to support Deaf, Mad and disability-identified artists, to cultivate Deaf, Mad and disability arts in Canada, and to enhance access to the arts for artists and audiences of all abilities.
Cultural Toronto Hotspot
The City of Toronto’s Cultural Hotspot initiative shines a spotlight on arts, culture and community in Toronto’s diverse neighbourhoods by celebrating, connecting and investing in neighbourhoods outside the city’s downtown. The City of Toronto’s Arts and Culture Services collaborates with arts organizations, partnering to develop dynamic transformative projects that provide new opportunities to engage the community and highlight the vibrancy within.
Bodies in Translation: Activist Art, Technology and Access to Life
Bodies in Translation: Activist Art, Technology, and Access to Life is a research project that creates collaborative partnerships between artists, arts organizations, activists, scholars, and educators. We cultivate activist art produced by disabled, d/Deaf, fat, Mad, and E/elder people with the goal of expanding understandings of vitality and advancing social justice.
